"Off the wind on this heading lies the Marquesas..."

Just back from a relaxing adventure in Key West, capped off with a catamaran ride out to the Dry Tortugas, for a tour of Fort Jefferson and some snorkeling among the beautiful, clear blue water.

Photos to come soon, including those from the underwater camera.

70 miles and 2.5 hours never seemed so far away from everything...

Edward R. Murrow

is spinning like a fucking top in his grave over this...

http://www.ceasespin.org/ceasespin_blog/ceasespin_blogger_files/fox_news_gets_okay_to_misinform_public.html

I have officially blocked FOX News on my cable box.

And no, I am not naive enough to think that other news aganecies are paragons of truth, but this is the thing...

FOX JUST TOLD US ALL THEY ARE, WILL AND INTEND TO LIE TO US!

If you continue watching, then you deserve what you get. Truth in advertising should require that they remove NEWS from the name at this point...

Apparently the only way to get any shred of truth now is a combination of NPR/BBC and common sense...

"To be persuasive, we must be believable; to be believable, we must be credible; to be credible, we must be truthful."

Blood Bowl

for the PC is available by digital download tomorrow, well in 23 hours form now :)

I pre-ordered it, 'cause that is what I do...

It looks good, looks fun, and is hopefully better than the previous versions...

The new...

Bjork album, Voltaic

A live to tape recording of remixes of 10 songs...very interesting new looks at some old, and not so old songs from her always entertaining catalogue...

Check out the title for the NPR listening link.

Nostalgia...

You've been reading some old letters
You smile and think how much you've changed
All the money in the world
Couldn't bring back those days.

I remember...

as if it were only yesterday, and not nearly two years ago, when I created this page...mainly to see the blogs of my friends, but I think I had other intentions for it as well.

And here it has sat, quietly and patiently, rewarded at last with my return and a new post!

In the past two years there have been quite a few changes with me.

I gave up my apartment, had a cancer scare, had a pancreas scare, met some new friends, and lost a few as well, both to time, and choice...

My daughter is now eight years old, and I am forty one...

Same job though, and I think I've gotten pretty good at it...at least, I don't have a many questions as I used to.

But mostly it is still the same, not enough time, except in airports, of which I always seem to have too much.

I'll try and make this a more recurring place to visit...kind of like it here.

I had forgotten...

Fry: “I hear that. I spent most of my teen years loving my body. Course it was tough love.”
